The Ripley SCS MAX is a heavy-duty, precision scoring tool engineered for large-diameter medium-voltage cables with strippable semi-con insulation layers. An extended version of Ripley's trusted SCS tool, the SCS MAX safely and efficiently performs spiral and calibrated square cuts on cables with diameters from 1.77″ to 2.96″ (45 to 75 mm)—without the risk of damaging the underlying insulation.

Designed to replace traditional stripping knives, the SCS MAX offers superior operator safety and consistent results in underground primary distribution environments. With a precise blade depth adjustment range from 0″ to 0.16″ (0 to 4 mm) in fine 0.002″ (0.05 mm) increments, it allows for complete scoring control even on thicker cables.
